Research from COI-NEXT Program Featured at OIST Science Studio

OIST COI-NEXT Center is exhibiting research at the OIST Science Studio, located in the newly opened “Yun-Lab Miraikan” in Yomitan Vil., Okinawa.

On October 1, the Yomitan Village Information Center Library “Yun-Lab Miraikan,” a hub for learning and community exchange in Yomitan Village, officially opened.

The OIST Science Studio, located within the library, marks the first permanent OIST facility outside the campus. It is an interactive science experience space designed to make science approachable and engaging.

From OIST COI-NEXT center, we are currently presenting posters that highlight our research on the biodiversity across land and sea, as well as studies exploring how natural environments contribute to human mental and physical well-being. In addition, visitors can immerse themselves in a VR soundscape exhibition, where they experience visuals and audio inspired by Okinawan environment.
