Finding us on campus
ECSU is distributed across two buildings at OIST:
- Main offices and dry labs — Lab Building 2, Level B. The main ECSU suite is B600 (offices, open collaboration space with whiteboard wall, and the ECSU library of 620+ books), and Tom's office nearby in B664. B600 is also where our Artificial Life and Engineering labs are based, for mechanical experiments, prototyping, and custom device development.
- Human Behavior Lab — Central Building, Level B, Room B234. Our dedicated human-subjects research facility (opened 2024, converted from the former OIST Clinic). Houses three experimental rooms configured for EEG hyperscanning and individual experimental studies, an operator room, and participant facilities. The Central Building location allows convenient access for external study participants.

Visiting OIST
