IMPORTANT NOTICE

 

  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the campus, including residential areas, except in Designated Smoking Area.
  • Do not take out trash by yourself. Cleaning staffs will do.
  • If you would like to use OIST shuttle bus, please contact the person who made your reservation.
  • In case you are unable to enter or stay in your reserved room, please contact the reception desk at the main entrance.

Check-in

  • Check-in is generally at 15:00 PM, but you may enter the room after the time indicated on your reservation slip.
  • The following rooms are equipped with smart locks:
  • VC201, VC251, VC456, EC181, EC285, WC132, WC232, H126, H229
  • For rooms without smart locks, please collect your key from the key box. The key box is located behind the Main Reception.
  • Please do not forget bringing the reservation slip with you.

How to open the Door Lock

 Smart locks are installed in the rooms of our short-stay facilities.

The type of smart lock varies depending on the room, so please refer to the following manual.

 

  • For Seaside House rooms

 

  • For On-campus Rooms

          In case of non-emergency during office hours, please contact with OIST's Health Center.

  • Gas leaks, power outages, housing equipment failure

Check-out

  • Check-out time for both On Campus and Seaside House is 10:00 am.
  • Please leave the air conditioning running on the 25°C cooling setting.
  • Please don't forget to lock all windows and doors when you leave your room.
  • Please return your room key to the key box you used when you checked in. The Dial number is the same.
  • No keys will be returned for rooms with smart locks installed. *Except in the case of an emergency and the key is retrieved from the key box.
