Polymer chemistry

We study molecules consisting of metallic and organic parts, known as organometallic molecules. These molecules have unique properties that the metallic or organic parts alone do not have. These properties are used to produce crucial compounds in human society, such as medicine and polymers. We search for new basic principles in organometallic chemistry and use them to develop catalysts and materials for our brighter future.

We work on creating synthetic methods for polymer semiconductors and the development of new materials for use in organic electronics (e.g., OLEDs, stretchable devices, bioelectronics).
