Cultural workshops
"Manzai Tekiuchi" at National Theatre Okinawa
We are now accepting applications for those who wish to attend the traditional Ryukyuan performing arts event "Manzai Tekiuchi,"
to be held at the National Theatre Okinawa in Urasoe City.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Okinawa’s cultural heritage, with free round-trip transportation provided from OIST. The performance will be in Uchinaaguchi (Okinawan dialect), but English subtitles will be provided on a small tablet. The subtitles automatically follow each scene,
so you can comfortably enjoy the performance while viewing the stage and the subtitles together. We warmly invite you to join us—and feel free to bring your family and friends!

Ticket Prices (OIST special discount)
*Please bring the exact amount in cash and make payment at Recreation Services Office by June 23rd(Tue).
*Office is located behind Resource Center office. (Center Building Level A )
- Staff/Faculty: 2,700 yen
- Family member: 2,200 yen
- Student/Intern: 2,000 yen
- Children (age 3 to 15 / up to junior high school): 1,000 yen
- Under 3 years old (no seat): Free
- `Parent - child ticket: 2,700 yen
(Free for first child[18 years old or under]) -
*500 yen for each additional child
🔸 Free round-trip bus transportation from OIST is included
🔸Capacity: 20 (Registration is required in advance, on a First come, First served bias)
