Visit to Kagoshima Prefectural Kametoku elementary School in Tokunoshima

An outreach lecture was given by Ayşe Haruka Oshima Açıkbaş (PhD student Marine Climate Change Unit) at the Kametoku elementary school in Tokunoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture on 5 March 2025. The lecture was attended by 26 primary school students, who got familiar with the biogeochemical history of Earth, the Carbon cycle and the climate change in the Anthropocene. An experiment was performed to demonstrate the greenhouse effect of the carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas.
