SEED Program:Kanagawa Prefectural Kamakura Senior High School students visited OIST

Students from Kanagawa Prefectural Kamakura High School visited OIST as part of their SSH study trip.

 

They attended a career talk by Rikako Ozaki (OIST PhD student / Marine Climate Change Unit) and a science lecture on marine science.

She shared how she decided to pursue a career in science, giving students insight into her academic journey and the different paths that can lead to a scientific career.

 

In addition to the campus tour, students also visited the Marine Science Station and Sea neXus. Through explanations and guidance from the facility staff, they learned about OIST’s marine science research and related initiatives.
