SEED Program: Saga prefectural Chienkan High School vistited OIST

Saga prefectural Chienkan High School students presented their research projects in English and received feedback from OIST PhD students.

OIST PhD Student, Amrita Mitra (Femtosecond Spectroscopy Unit) gave a talk about what inspired her to pursue scientific research at OIST and her current research at OIST.

On the second day, Angela Ares Pita introduced OIST Innovation. Samantha Phan (Technology Pioneer Fellow, Technology Development Section), Ezra Kassa (Staff Scientist from Experimental Quantum Information Physics Unit ), and Karim Honein (OIST Innovation Accelerator Fellow, Venture Support Section), gave insightful talks on how research outcomes can lead to innovation and the potential for startups to make a meaningful impact on society.
