Jinsun Lee
OIST Assistant Professor of the Energy Materials and Sustainability Unit. Jinsun Lee was born and raised in Suwon, South Korea. She received her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Hyoyoung Lee from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in 2022. She then joined Priv.-Doz. Dr. Harun Tüysüz’s group as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (MPI-KOFO), Germany. In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship to support her independent research in sustainable energy. In 2025, she joined OIST as an Assistant Professor to lead the Energy Materials and Sustainability Unit.
