The Light Microscopy Facility is housed in Lab 1. Expert specialists support access and imaging with a range of light microscopes (STED, 3D-SIM, Light-Sheet, Laser Scanning Confocal, and Widefield).
Our Electron Microscopes are located in Lab 1 and Lab 5 and house four scanning electron microscopes (SEM, FIB-SEM, Cryo FIB-SEM and Serial Blockface SEM), and eight transmission electron microscopes, four of which are dedicated Cryo TEMs. We can support sample preparation and imaging of a wide range of biological and materials samples.
Scientific Imaging houses several other imaging systems such as X-ray microCT and Atomic Force Microscopy. The facility is equipped with a range of sample preparation equipment for biological samples and materials.
