  • Room without Smart Lock
  1. Please receive a key from your reservation staff such as RUA.
  2. Please enter the room, check the room condition, and fill out “Room Check Sheet,” given by the reservation staff.
  3. Please sign the “Room Check Sheet” and submit to the reservation staff next day.
  • Room with Smart Lock 
  1. Please enter your room with PIN code which is shown on the Reservation Sheet provided by your reservation staff such as RUA.
  2. Please enter the room, check the room condition, and fill out “Room Check Sheet,” provided by the reservation staff.
  3. Please Sign the “Room Check Sheet” and submit to the reservation staff next day.

 Emergency room is available in case you are unable to enter or stay in your reserved room.

Daily Necessities

  • The rooms are equipped with the minimum necessary appliances and tableware, but you will need to provide your own daily necessities. Daily necessities can be purchased at the on-campus store or at nearby supermarkets.

  • Each room has a wifi ID and password. Please refer to the manual provided in your room. In addition to wifi for OIST personnel only, free wifi is also available in the lab. buildings.

Trash Management

  • Guests are responsible for taking out trash, cleaning, and cleaning linens during their stay. If you would like to request cleaning service during your stay, please contact the reservation staff. If the room is dirtier than usual, an additional cleaning fee may be charged. Trash must be disposed of in the designated way, place, and schedule.

  • Please set the temperature of AC about 25 degrees Celsius to avoid condensation and mold.
 
Smoke Free Environment

No Smoking policy

  • Smoking is prohibited by law throughout the OIST campus, including indoor areas and guest rooms. The only place where smoking is permitted is in the smoking booths located in the parking lot of Building 1.

Check-out

  1. OIST Housing will conduct Pre-inspection 1 to 2 weeks before the check-out date. If Guest’s presence is required, we will let you know. 
  2. OIST Housing will conduct Final-inspection on the day of check-out. If Guest’s presence is required, we will let you know. 
  3. Please note that any damage or stains found during the inspection that exceed the normal range will be subject to charge.
