OIST and BizReach Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Hire Business Professionals to Accelerate University Spin-Out Startups

OIST and BizReach, Inc. signed a collaboration agreement on November 26, 2025, aimed at accelerating the creation of university-based startups.

Under this agreement, research projects at OIST that are pursuing startup creation will be able to recruit management professionals through the BizReach platform. These professionals will join as part-time or side-job Executive-in-Residence (EIR) members, supporting the teams and helping to speed up the social implementation and commercialization of their technologies.

The first initiative under this partnership will be the project led by Dr. Yuimaru Kubo, Science and Technology Associate in the OIST Science and Technology Group, which aims to commercialize an ultra-low-noise amplifier using spin-based microwave quantum technology. The project is now seeking management professionals who will work alongside Dr. Kubo as part-time/side-job Executive-in-Residence (EIR) members to support the startup-creation process.
