About the Workshop

This workshop aims to bring together leading experts from around the globe to discuss the latest research and facilitate the exchange of ideas in the fields of Macroeconomics, Health Economics, Labor and Family Economics, Public Policy, Demography, and Sustainability. We expect to have around 19 presentations in total.

Registration Information

Registration fee for participants is 30,000 JPY. It includes accommodation for presenters, local transportation, meals, dinners and an excursion on March 20 (excluding entrance fees). We do not cover the cost of travel to and from Okinawa, but a (very) limited number of travel fellowships are available. Please indicate if you would like to apply during the paper submission.

 

Registration for non-speaking participants is now open here.

 

Registration fee for non-presenting participants is 30,000 JPY. It includes:

 - Meals during the workshop: coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners on March 18, 19, and 20.

 - Transfer from Naha Airport to the OIST campus/recommended hotels (only for arrivals on March 17)

 - Transfer from the OIST campus/recommended hotels to Naha Airport (only for departures on March 21)

 - If you stay in one of the recommended hotels (see below), we can also arrange local transportation to/from the workshop venue for you on the days of the Workshop.

 - Participation in the excursion (entrance fee is not included).

Please note that if the number of registrations exceeds our capacity, we may close the registration form early. Your place is not guaranteed until the payment has been received and we send you the confirmation of your participation.

・Please note that after the completion of fee payment, there will be a fee of 3.6% if you later decide to cancel and get a refund.

・If the cardholder and participant names are different, please contact workshop@oist.jp. 

・You will receive an email from stripe.com after your payment is completed.

 

<Cancellation and Refund Policy>

Participation fees will be refunded if cancellations are made in written form via email to workshop@oist.jp not later than 10 business days prior to the start of the workshop.

In case of a natural disaster (typhoon, earthquake, etc.), which results in the cancellation of the workshop, participant fees will be refunded after subtracting the processing fee of 3.6%.

limited number of rooms is available free of charge for non-presenting participants. Please indicate if you would like to apply during registration. Please note that if the demand for free rooms exceeds the supply, preference for free accommodation will be given to PhD students and early career researchers. 

Non-presenting participants who cannot be accommodated on campus are kindly requested to book their own accommodation.

We recommend staying between the Fuchaku and Tancha area, where many hotels are located.
