Tracking fish to estimate dynamic body acceleration
Video-based Dynamic Body Acceleration (DBA) in action. A deep learning model has been trained to track the location of body points on a fish in a tank coupled to a respirometer that measures the concentration of oxygen in the water. Acceleration can be derived from the movement of the points, and subsequently analyzed together with oxygen consumption to estimate energy usage.
