Jamie Sanderson
Jamie Sanderson has over 25 years of experience working and studying in Japan and is an established leader in facilities management and project management. In his previous role he was the Japan Head of Global Real Estate for Deutsche Bank and Project Owner for their Tokyo headquarters relocation to Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower, overseeing the project from conception to its completion in 2024. Prior to that, he held related positions with JLL and Credit Suisse. Earlier, Jamie studied and practiced architecture in New Zealand. He then moved to Japan on a working holiday, participated in the JET Program teaching at schools in Nagano Prefecture, and later earned a scholarship from Japan’s Ministry of Education (now MEXT) to pursue study at the University of Tokyo. Throughout his career, Jamie has enjoyed working in multicultural environments and utilizes both Japanese and English on a daily basis. Jamie is passionate about providing functional, sustainable workspaces that foster wellbeing and communication between colleagues. He is also enthusiastic about contributing to OIST and the broader Okinawa community.
