SEED Program: Yokohama Science Frontier High School students visited OIST
Yokohama Science Frontier High School in Kanagawa Prefecture visited OIST and each student gave an individual research poster presentation in English to OIST PhD students.
Dr. Yohei Morita, who worked for many years in the Conference and Workshop Section at OIST, delivered a lecture on the theme of “Science Careers and Communication.”
In addition, OIST PhD student Nanako Okabe(Macroevolution Unit) an alumni of Yokohama Science Frontier High School, gave a career talk introducing her motivation for pursuing PhD degree and her current research at OIST.
Riko Chinen, (Evolution, Cell, and Symbiosis Biology Unit), also shared her experiences and insights through a career talk.
