Benthos living near the hydrothermal vent

Benthos living near the hydrothermal vent
The hydrothermal vents, located in waters more than 200m beneath the surface, eject hydrothermal solution heated by the earth along with heavy metals and hydrogen sulfide from crevices in ocean basins. Attracted by this environment, living organisms gather in the vicinity to form communities.
