Neurons, synapses and proteins

Neurons are like the electrical wiring of our bodies. They are connected by synapses, which play an important role in transferring information. Inside synapses, there are complex molecular machineries, such as synaptic vesicles (SV), that work in harmony to ensure proper neurotransmission. This research looked at the synaptic proteome – all the proteins that make up the synapses.
