[Seminar] Familiarity Warps Memory Codes in Macaque Prefrontal Cortex
Friday November 20th, 2026 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM
Meeting Room D014, Lab 1

Description

Dear All,

The Neural Computation Unit (Doya Unit) would like to invite you to the following seminar:

Speaker: Camilo Libedinsky, National University of Singapore

Title: Familiarity Warps Memory Codes in Macaque Prefrontal Cortex

Abstract: I will discuss how familiarity modulates sequence working memory using recordings from the primate prefrontal cortex and recurrent neural networks. By overtraining specific stimulus sequences, we demonstrated that familiarity improves retrieval accuracy and reaction times. Population decoding and subspace geometry analyses revealed that overtrained sequences are represented with greater representational isolation, consistent with warped representational subspaces.
