OIST booth at Okinawa Industry Festival 2011

From October 21 to 23, the 35th annual Okinawa industrial festival, took place at Oonoyama Park in downtown Naha. The theme this year was, “Local products, everyone who uses them becomes a star.” A record number of exhibitors, 491 local companies and organizations, had booths at the festival, and over 240,000 visitors gathered at the festival over the course of the event.

The OIST booth introduced the Graduate University and the relationship between OIST and local industry. Over 1,000 people visited to the booth, and many of them showed great interest in OIST, by asking questions such as the date of the foundation, and procedures for student recruitment. The festival was an excellent opportunity to introduce OIST to lots of people in Okinawa.
