The Japan PhD Student Meeting in Evolutionary Biology 2025 is a two-day conference organized by and for doctoral students in evolutionary biology and related fields across Japan. This meeting provides a platform for young researchers to connect, share their science, and learn from one another in an open and supportive environment. We also welcome participation from students in related disciplines - ecology, developmental biology, genetics and genomics, systems biology, molecular biology, etc.

Accommodation, meals and participation fee are covered by the organizers. The activities will begin on the evening/afternoon of October 20th and end on the evening of October 22nd; the accommodation check-in and check-out are on October 20th and 23rd, respectively. The transportation to and from Naha Airport will be provided. Subsidies for travel expenses to Okinawa might be available for PhD students enrolled at SOKENDAI. Participants will have an opportunity to explore career perspectives in Japan and the UK.

If you are interested in attending the meeting, please fill out the form before July 27th, 2025. Registration will be confirmed within 2 weeks after the deadline has passed, and further information will be sent to the registered participants. We hope to accommodate all applicants, however, we may close the registration form early if the cap of 40 participants is reached before the deadline. The applicants willing to present will be asked to submit their talk/poster titles and short abstracts by the end of August.

進化生物学とその関連分野の博士課程の学生による、博士課程学生のためのミーティングです。若手研究者がオープンな環境で繋がり、互いの研究を共有し、学び合う場を提供いたします。生態学、発生生物学、遺伝学、ゲノム科学、システム生物学、分子生物学など、関連分野の学生の参加も歓迎します。他にも日本やUKでのキャリア展望を探る機会もございます。

スケジュール詳細は後日参加者に告知いたしますが、ミーティングの主なアクティビティは10月20日（月）の午後・夜から10月22日（水）の夜までとなります。

宿泊に関して、OIST外からの参加者には、主催側がOISTのキャンパス内の宿舎< https://www.oist.jp/ja/campus/seaside-house> で部屋をご用意いたします。チェックインは10月20日（月）、チェックアウトは10月23日（木）となります。
