About us
OIST LGBTQ+ Allies is a self-organized group of students, researchers, staff and OIST community members that aims to give support to the LGBTQIA+ community at OIST and bring light to current LGBTQIA+ issues in Japan and worldwide.
We aim to be a safe space for queer individuals at OIST. Personal information shared with the group is strictly confidential unless otherwise requested.
Current activities
Regular meetings
- Coffee meeting: formal meeting to discuss our activities and decide the next steps of the group. Held once a month.
- Monthly fun event: Anything from karaoke, a hike or quiet craft night.
