Children's Kasumigaseki Tour Day in Kasumigaseki 2025

On August 6th and 7th, OIST held science outreach activities for children at the Cabinet Office in Tokyo as part of the "Children's Tour Day in Kasumigaseki 2025." We welcomed approximately 106 participants. Over the two days, Aleksandra Gavrilova, OIST Ph.D. student, gave lectures entitled "Discover How Your Brain Works with a Brain Hat!!"

During the sessions, participants learned about how the brain functions while wearing colorful “brain hats” that show different brain regions. The interactive lectures sparked curiosity, and some of the feedback we received included comments such as “It was fun to learn in detail about the brain” and “I really enjoyed making the brain hat.”

We hope the event inspired participants to take an interest in neuroscience and science in general. Thank you very much for joining us!
