Outline of life history of gobies which migrate between fresh water and the sea
Many fish species found in Okinawa migrate between streams and the sea. The larvae usually grow in marine habitats and then disperse during their larval phase. Their larval ecology in marine habitats is unknown, though it is important for understanding their dispersal.
