OIST Launches Online News Center

OIST today launched a new section of the website aimed at making the university’s articles, photos, videos, and other content more visible and accessible. The section, called the News Center, allows users to browse content of different types; view curated collections of the university’s best photos and videos; or search by keywords, content type, or both. The News Center’s tagging feature not only makes searches easier, but also enables news content to be more thoroughly integrated with other parts of the university’s website. For example, each unit’s webpage now includes a link to “News Feed,” which shows news articles about unit activities.

“The aim is to make a one-stop show where our content is at the fingertips of prospective students, journalists, researchers, and anyone else who’s interested in learning about the university,” said Vice President for Communication & Public Relations Neil Calder. “As the university expands and prepares to begin our first courses in September, the News Center will tell the story of what OIST is and how we are different.”
