OIST Applies for Establishment of the School Corporation and University

Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Promotion Corporation (OIST) has applied for an approval of the establishment of the OIST School Corporation and the University to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Following an approval, the school will open (student enrollment) in fall 2012.

Signed by Dr. Akito Arima and Dr. Torsten Wiesel as the representatives of the Establishing Members of OIST S.C., the application was made on March 31, 2011.

The approval by the Minister is expected at the end of October 2011.

Information about the Graduate University, including its academic programs, future schedule, will be made public on the OIST Website etc. as soon as it is confirmed.
