Slow transient emission spectroscopy setup

A photograph of a blue laser light hitting a reflective surface inside a complicated spectroscopy setup, housed in a dark area.

The novel spectroscopy setup used to detect the extremely faint, long-timescale signals emitted by luminescent materials. The material on the photo is lit up by laser – the faint signals long after excitation are not visible to the naked eye.
