The mission of the Analysis and PDE unit is to reveal and analyze the mathematical principles reflecting natural phenomena expressed by partial differential equations and advance the boundary of knowledge in mathematics and emerging fields of engineering and natural sciences through the discovery and application of those principles. Research focuses on fundamental analysis of PDEs, qualitative theory and regularity of nonlinear PDEs, optimal control of systems with distributed parameters, and outstanding applications in physics, mathematical biosciences, and quantum biology.
