Technician Position in the Centrosome Dynamics and Evolution Group
The Centrosome Dynamics and Evolution Group aims to understand the evolution of molecular mechanisms of the centrosome, a central organelle required for cell division. We employ complementary approaches using the roundworm Caenorhabditis elegans and human cell culture, biochemistry, and gene engineering. (https://www.oist.jp/research/buribushi/ohta).
We are seeking to recruit a full-time technician for laboratory management and experimental support.

- Work with the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans and human cell culture, plasmid construction, and biochemical approaches (protein purification, Western blots, immunoprecipitation).
- Management of reagents, consumables, and equipment
(Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related subject
- Experience with molecular biology
- Team spirit and collaborative personality
- Communication in English
Expected Annual Salary: 3M – 7M yen
In accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations
*This amount represents the expected annual salary range for this position, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills and background by the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations.

Full-time, the position is initially for one year with a 6-month probationary period (inclusive). This contract may be renewed by taking into consideration the performance and mutual agreement.
