“Development of Heat Stroke Countermeasure Drink” The team developed an effective anti-heat stroke drink, which is a mixed solution of Miyako Island's specialty products such as Yukishio salt and brown sugar. Nutritional analysis and interview surveys were conducted with the cooperation of local companies and hospitals.

Some of the teams prepared for their presentations for more than six months, summarizing their research and practicing their delivery in unfamiliar English. For the participants, immersing themselves in their research and working through trial and error with their team members must have been an invaluable experience. OIST looks forward to welcoming future scientists and entrepreneurs to SCORE! next year as well.

“Modeling Water Exchange Game and Utilization for Education on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases Education” Through simulations of the water exchange game, which is used to educate about infectious disease prevention in physical education courses, the team confirmed its relevance in the spread of COVID-19 in Okinawa and verified the appropriateness of using the familiar educational material.

“Taking on COVID-19! Research and Development of an Eyeglass-Type AI Device for the Tourism Industry” A proposal for Senri AI, an eyeglass-shaped AI device that responds to the changing needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a tool to support tourism, it provides information of sightseeing spots and the surrounding areas, allowing visitors to fully enjoy sightseeing without tour guides.

"What Kind of Influence Does Photocatalyst Have on the Growth of Sea Grapes?” The project aimed to establish indoor cultivation methods for sea grapes. The team verified that adding titanium dioxide into aquariums can inhibit algae that interfere with the photosynthesis of sea grapes.
