SEED program: Ochanomizu University Senior High School visited OIST

OIST PhD students, Arina Mazurova (Evolutionary Genomics Unit) and Maya Agata (Integrative Community Ecology Unit), gave a career talk, and 8 students from Ochanomizu University Senior High School gave poster presentations to OIST PhD students and received feedback from OIST PhD students.
In addition, OIST PhD student Aleksandra Gavrilova (Optical Neuroimaging Unit) gave a science lecture on “Neuroscience and the Cerebellum.” She also demonstrated how animals are handled in scientific research using the “Mimicky Mouse,” a mouse-type laboratory animal simulator, providing students with a valuable opportunity to gain practical insight into neuroscience research.
