SEED Program:Miyazaki Prefectural Miyazaki Nishi High School students visited OIST.
Miyazaki Prefectural Miyazaki Nishi High School students visited OIST as part of their SSH study trip and experienced cutting-edge scientific research and the research environment through research presentations, a career talk, and a campus tour.
During the visit, the students from Miyazaki Nishi high school gave poster presentations on their research projects and received feedback from OIST PhD students.
The program also included a career talk and science lecture by Chien-chia Liu (Staff Scientist / Nonlinear and Non-equilibrium Physics Unit), who introduced both his career path and his current research.
In addition to the campus tour, the students also visited the Nonlinear and Non-equilibrium Physics Unit. Under the guidance of Aditya Singh (OIST PhD Student / Nonlinear and Non-equilibrium Physics Unit) and Hirokazu Maruoka (Postdoctoral Scholar / Nonlinear and Non-equilibrium Physics Unit), the students also participated in a hands-on activity that further deepened their understanding of and interest in science.
