Diamond Quantum Science and Technology Japan-Germany Project: DIAMONDQTECH

OIST is part of a 5 year bi-national research project between Japan and Germany focused on developing diamond-based quantum science and technology as an JST ASPIRE & DFG project.

we love diamond science and technology
Diamond Quantum Science and Technology has applications for quantum sensing, communication, computing and fundamental science.

Together with colleagues in Japan and Germany we are one of two jointly funded bi-national projects developing quantum technologies with mobility and training of researchers between Japan and Germany. Our project focuses on developing diamond based quantum technologies and the project is called “Diamond Quantum Technologies” - DIAMONDQTECH, and is led by Prof Takeshi Ohshima at Japan’s National Institute for Quantum Science and Technology and Prof Fedor Jelezko at the Institute of Quantum Optics, Ulm University, Germany. The project runs for five years and involves a number of prominent Japanese and Germany research groups who specialise in diamond science and technology. We are looking forward to learning more about the fascinating science and applications of diamond in the coming years!

Funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) on the theme of Quantum Technologies under the ASPIRE Program
