OIST Wave Energy Project officially launched in maldives

An OIST project to convert wave energy into electricty has gone been officially launched this week in the Maldives. Professor Tsumoru Shintake, leader of the Quantum Wave Microscopy Unit, and his colleagues designed special Wave Energy Converter which have nof been deployed for field trials with the cooperation of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) of the Republic of Maldives and Kokyo Tatemono Company Limited (Kokyo) of Tokyo, Japan.
