SEED Program: Kadokawa Dwango vistited OIST
Kadokawa Dwango High School Students visited OIST as part of an extracurricular learning program.
The students presented their research projects in English and received feedback from OIST PhD students.
Daniel Gutierrez Del Rio (Molecular Cryo-Electron Microscopy Unit) and Rikako Ozaki (pi-Conjugated Polymers Unit) gave career talks, sharing their motivations for pursuing doctoral studies and introducing their current research at OIST.
In addition, Dr. Ryuho Kataoka from the Science and Technology Group gave a talk on aurora research, and Professor Kenji Doya(Neural Computation Unit), delivered a lecture on neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
Students also participated in career talks and a lab tour led by PhD students Jianning Chen and Yuji Kanagawa from Neural Computation Unit.
Over two days, the students experienced OIST’s unique international research environment and were inspired to explore future pathways in science and technology.
