A History and Elder's Insights on the Battle of Okinawa

Takahiro Seto is a Japanese historian who has been researching the Battle of Okinawa here in Okinawa for the last 9 years.

Terunobu Yamauchi, an 85 year old elder born and raised in Onna Village, will talk about his experience living in Nakadomari during the war.

This is an opportunity to learn about the history of the land and people of Onna Village. Mr. Seto will be speaking and sharing his research about the war in Okinawa, battle grounds in Onna Village, and how these events affected the people of Onna Village.
