Even if a quantum simulator Hamiltonian HQS is not the same as the target Hamiltonian HT, there still exists some set of states SQ that can simulate the physics of HT. If the overlap SS between the set of experimentally accessible states SA and SQ is not zero, the concept of using the connector can be used in analog quantum simulators.
