OIST Welcomes its Vice President for Administrative Compliance Ms Maki Kubo

Ms Maki Kubo has picked a perfect time to begin her first day at OIST as the Vice President for Administrative Compliance.

Ms Maki Kubo has picked a perfect time to begin her first day at OIST as the Vice President for Administrative Compliance. Today OIST celebrates its first day as a graduate University following the successful transition from Promotion Corporation to School Corporation.

Ms Kubo will be in charge of OIST’s government cooperation, and internal audit and compliance. She comes with an impressive 30 years’ experience in educational administration at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

Her previous positions include being the Vice-President and Director-General of the National Women’s Education Center (NWEC), the Director for Research and Analysis at the Cabinet Office, Council for Science and Technology Policy and the Director of the Administrative department in Japan's largest founding agency for universities, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

OIST will benefit from her immense wealth of experience. Welcome Ms Kubo, we all look forward to working with you at the start of this new initiative in international graduate education.
