Instructor biography
Hola! My name is Laura Rodriguez, I am from Bogota, Colombia. I left my country 14 years ago, to follow the love of my life. I haven’t come back to my country for almost 10 years. Miss it so much. Since I love my culture, the music, the rhythms I decided to become a Zumba instructor 11 years ago. I love to share latino music, but also international rhythms with a energetic beat. Dancing is my passion, I love to share my Folklore dances, in schools, events that would like to know more about Hispanic culture. I am the founder of Folclor de Mi Tierra, Folklore group here in Okinawa. Apart of dancing, I also teach strength fitness classes and I am specialized in Primary Group fitness. I am a marine wife, traveling the world every 3 years and mom of 2 beautiful kids 6 year old boy and 4 year old Girl.
I am happy to be back at OIST. I was able to teach in 2015, un beautiful people and I can’t wait to meet you and have fun with you this time around.
