Okinawa General Bureau Supports OIST
Grant awarded to project with Okinawa Protein Tomography

Okinawa General Bureau has awarded 45 million yen to OIST and Okinawa Protein Tomography, OIST’s startup, for the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency’s FY2016 Supporting Project for the Strategic Development of Fundamental Technology. Through this project, Okinawa Protein Tomography aims to apply the 3D protein molecular structural analysis technology developed by Professor Ulf Skoglund (OIST) to establish 2D analysis technology to lower the cost and decrease the time needed for analysis. Commercialization of this technology is expected at the end of this 3-year project.
