Postdoctoral Researcher position in Quantum Wave Microscopy Unit

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; see www.oist.jp) is a dynamic new graduate university of science and technology in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Wave Microscopy Unit, https://group.oist.jp/qwmu engaged in “Nano-particle Detection with Laser Interferometry Project” 

Location

Responsibilities 

  • R&D on nano-particle detection system based on laser interferometry

Qualifications 

(Required)

  1. PhD degree in Physics or Engineering 
  2. Proficiency in either Japanese or English

(Preferred)

  1. General understanding on optical engineering

Report to 

Professor Tsumoru Shintake

Starting Date 

As early as possible

Term & Working Hours 

Term: Full-time, fixed term appointment for 1 year Contract initially with 3-month probationary period (inclusive). This contract may be renewed. 

Working hours: 9:00-17:30 (Discretionary)
