Lab Technician in Plant Epigenetics Unit
The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; see www.oist.jp) is a dynamic new graduate university of science and technology in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Position summary:
We seek a lab technician who will work in the research unit “Plant Epigenetics Unit (Principal Investigator: Hidetoshi Saze). We will study epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation by using plants including Arabidopsis thaliana and rice. See also the unit page at OIST: https://groups.oist.jp/peu
Location
Responsibilities
Data collection and analysis using molecular biological and biochemical methods. Plant breeding management, laboratory equipment management, etc.
Qualifications
BA/BSc/MSc degree or equivalent, and good communication skills in either Japanese or English. Researchers with experiences in molecular genetics, biochemistry, and plant biology are preferred.

Term & Working Hours
Full-time or part-time, fixed term appointment for 1-year contract. This contract may be renewed.
