HR Staff (Recruiting & Training)
OIST HR Division's Mission:
The OIST Human Resources Division pursues an organizational culture in which employees can maximize their potential to enhance the value of OIST. In order to fulfill our mission, OIST HR will play the following roles;
- Administrative Expert: Create an organizational infrastructure as an expert in organizational systems and human resource management.
- Strategic Partner: Help OIST Divisions shape their strategies.
- Employee Champion: Listen to OIST members and encourage their commitment and development
- Change Agent: Lead the transformation of the OIST organization
OIST's Human Resources Division assists staff in a wide range of situations, from entry to exit. To become an OIST Human Resources professional, you will work in one of the four sections of the Human Resources Division, gaining experience through job rotations. You will be assigned to the section in charge of relocation support, and after gaining experience, you will move on to other sections to become an HR specialist. We welcome those who want to build the career as an HR person in an international environment.
- Recruiting process management for OIST employees
- Coordinate with hiring manager(s) to determine staffing needs and the best process for the position(s).
- Build candidate sources by contacting resources, screen resumes, arrange interviews with candidates, administer appropriate travel arrangements for interviews, conduct assessments and background checks, and extend verbal and written job offers.
- Use resources, such as Agencies, Career fairs, SNS, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Communicate closely with candidates to sell OIST opportunities to support smooth decision making at the time of offer.
- Recruiting process management for Temp staff
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with hiring manager(s) and temp staffing agencies to effectively support the strategic recruitment of temp staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager
(Required)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working on computer-based administrative tasks
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft365, Google Work Place, and etc.
- Conversational English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 700 or EIKEN Level 2 or above
(Preferred)
- Experience of working in Human Resources department (any industry)
- Accuracy and attention to detail, including detailed data entry and preparation
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to tolerate and communicate diverse ideas

Housing

- First year: 10 days on the appointment day
- 20 days annually on every anniversary day

Full-time, fixed term appointment for 1 year/2 years. Contract initially with 3-month probationary period (inclusive). This contract may be renewed.
Flextime (core time 10:00-15:00) 7.5 hrs per day (Multiplied by prescribed working days per month)
