OIST considers research collaboration with industries as an important component of its mission to contribute to economic development, in Okinawa and beyond. OIST Faculty Members have a strong track record of research collaborations with industrial partners and beyond one-to-one collaborative agreements with industrial partners, OIST participates in National Research Project like JST, NEDO etc.. The highly interdisciplinary community of OIST researchers offers potential for original and unconventional approaches and mutually beneficial Industry/University partnerships.
